Our Trips

From the mighty Androscoggin to pristine mountain brooks, we'll match you with the perfect water for your skill level and goals.

Androscoggin River Fly Fishing

Errol, Milan, Berlin, Gorham and Shelburne, NH

The Androscoggin River offers a unique opportunity to achieve the coveted "Andro grand slam" - catching brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, smallmouth bass, and fall fish all in one day. We fish the Andro with a variety of flies and techniques: fishing small caddis, casting large streamers, dead drifting nymphs and fishing an evening spinner fall can all be done in one day.

Mountain Stream Fly Fishing

White Mountains, NH

Over the past eighteen years, I've been hiking and fishing a multitude of mountain streams in and around the White Mountains. These streams provide exceptional dry fly fishing for both wild and stocked brook, brown and rainbow trout. Fishing these streams does require some hiking that can range from a tenth of a mile to three miles, depending on your ability and preference. Trout from ten to over twelve inches are not uncommon on these trips. Mountain streams can be effectively fished with dry flies, but I'll show you a few seldom used techniques that catch the biggest fish in the river.

Saco River Fly Fishing

Bartlett, North Conway, Conway, NH

The Saco River flows out of Crawford Notch and winds its way right through the Center of North Conway where the Fly Fishing Only stretch provides exceptional dry fly angling. Trips on the Saco are recommended for early morning or late evening when the dry fly fishing is at its finest, and the crowds are low. The Saco is the ideal setting to work on your dry fly dead drift. Sighting large brown trout sipping mayflies provides ample motivation. The Saco also provides opportunities to catch monster trout on big streamers.

Wild Brook Trout Fly Fishing

Jackson, Conway, Albany, Eaton, Freedom, and Ossippee, NH

These waters are un-stocked and un-pressured. Trout can be wary of predators from above, but strike hard when a fly is well presented. Much of this water is spring fed and low gradient allowing for sight fishing and explosive surface action. Many people believe that wild NH brook trout max out at six inches. These fish average eight inches with twelve inch specimens not uncommon.

Ellis River Fly Fishing

Mount Washington area, NH

Emanating from the snows of Tuckerman Ravine, the Ellis is a classic mountain stream complete with colorful wild brook trout. In its lower stretches the Ellis also contains large rainbow trout. The Ellis has a wide variety of bug life and the fish seem to shift their feeding habits regularly. Therefore it is a great river for learning a variety of fly fishing techniques. Unlike the Saco, the Ellis can fish well right through a hot summer day.

Landlocked Salmon Trips

Northern NH

Landlocked salmon are New Hampshire's premier game fish, known for their aggressive strikes and powerful runs. These trips focus specifically on targeting these exciting fish using specialized techniques and flies. Best fishing is typically in spring and fall.

Pike Fishing Trips

Northern NH

Experience the thrill of pike fishing on New Hampshire waters. These aggressive predators provide exciting action with explosive strikes. Perfect for anglers looking for something different from trout fishing. Fast-paced and fun!

Tenkara Fly Fishing Trips

White Mountains, NH

Tenkara is a traditional Japanese method of fly fishing that uses a simple rod (no reel), line, and fly. This minimalist approach allows you to focus on the essential elements of fly fishing and connect more deeply with the water and the fish. Perfect for mountain streams and brook trout.

Trophy Trout Trips

Select NH waters

These trips target the largest trout in New Hampshire's waters. Using specialized techniques and prime timing, we focus on waters known to hold trophy-sized brown and rainbow trout. These are advanced trips for experienced anglers looking for that fish of a lifetime.
